over heating ???
However, I have had problems with air in the heads when doing work that involves draining coolant. I have my vent tube plumbed to the upper hose. I am wondering if that is part of my problem.
My "technique" is to run it until the thermo opens (rad cap off), then squeeze a bit on that upper hose while making sure there is enough coolant. This seems to work fairly well.
If its a vent problem drain the coolant. Fill radiator with motor off. Squeze the top radiator hose, repeat till coolant doesnt drop. Start the car and keep adding coolant till its full.
p.s.- I probably wouldnt worry about it to much if it doesnt exceed 220. It will run cooler while your driving.
Is your vent tube connected? Sometimes air can be trapped and the vent tube can relieve this.
