5.3L swap questions You'll all have to excuse my lack of LS knowledge. Even I think my questions are elementary and should be relatively easy to answer. I'm debating trying to take the 5.3L LS based motor(no specific type picked) and put it into my 1976 vette. But the engine would need to be heavily modified to meet my expectations(it is a vette). So my first question:what are the interchangable engine parts that would be worth putting on(ie. heads, cam, intake). If I was to do this swap, I would want to keep the EFI. So as far as ECU's and wiring harnesses are concerned; would LS1 stuff work for this? Accessories? What will fit on these engines from LS1/2/6's? Any insight to doing this swap would be helpful...
