Intake help?
Intake help? Can someone once and for all clear up the madness when it comes to swapping out the truck intake for the ls6. I would like to keep my truck accessories if possible and perhaps only change the water pump and idler pulley. Can someone please provide the needed info.

You will probly have to do something to your truck accessories if you want to run LS6 intake.....

Call Speartech and see i fthey still sell the idler puller adapter bracket. If they do, you can swap just the intake and use the adapter bracket. It will move the idler pulley to the side so it doesn't hit the throttle body and you're good to go.

If you wanna see what it looks like. The belt gets pretty close to the water pump there. I wonder if a L92 pump would help that out a bit.

so youre trying to install a ls6 on a truck accesories engine?
u can either bend and or cut down water neck on truck pump
or if using a car pump with the bolt on pulley, space he pulley and tensioner.
or on pressed pulley, pull the pulley about 1/4-3/8 of an inch as if u were removing it and this will not cause any issues and have enough area for belt traction
