Default Are O2 sensors needed?

I am modifying a '98 harness for a 240 swap and want to know if I need the O2 sensors?

you will definetly want to keep the o2`s, and make sure there are no knicks in the pink wires that run to them!

hay can you make them longer, mind on one side is two short. that addon wire cost to much.

if you dont want to pay for o2 extensions and havent bought new o2`s yet, you can just by vette o2`s. they have plenty of extra length to them. something like an 03 zo6 o2 would work.

so you cant just extend the wires by a foot or so? will it give you a code because the extra resistance?

There are quite a few people that run without them... those are track only cars though. The o2 really only do something at idle, other then a funky/rich idle the car should run fine.
