I hvae a 68 Camaro Painless Chassis Harness and i am goin to buy a 98 Ls1. I was wondering if i should keep the harness i have now or return it and buy a Ls1 harness from Painless but im not sure if the harness from painless is for the whoel chassis or jsut the engine and i am getting the stock engine harness w/ the engine.

The painless LS1 harness does NOT include a chasis harness to the best of my knowledge, if it does, I think I need to hook myself up with one

The painless chasis harness you have now will be fine for your car, I wish I had one for mine. I wouldnt return it, but instead just integrate it into your painless LS1 harness when you get it.

I used a Painless chassis harness in my camaro also. Then I used a Speartech harness to hook up my LS1. John

Dynatech Motrsports reworked my LS1 factory harness and reworked my painless chassy wiring to hook up tp my LS1. They also delited all the circuits that were not needed on the painless kit (Choke, Fan, Fuel pump, Coil) The reworked chassy harness also included new wiring for the dual fans, fuel pump, a/c and gauges all in the coresponding side of the loom. The headlight loom also carried the dual fan wires toward the radiator, the fuel pump wire was part of the tail light loom and the engine loom is flawless. give them a call 562 945 5300 I personally walked in my stuff ( they are 30 minutes form me) but most of their work is mail order.
