Tach problem on a swap in 97 camaro

Default Tach problem on a swap in 97 camaro
back again working out my bugs but i got my car tuned and running finally good.... i had my harness done by current performance wiring and they did a good job on everything but im having one problem, i knew the tach was off but i didnt relize till we had it on the laptop tuning it, the factory RPM gauge is reading approx. half of the correct rpm's it was supose to be wired to work, does anyone know how to fix this, like what wire i can run to where, it is a 2001 harness and computer in my 97 camaro, if anyones got any suggestions please let me know!!!! thanx!!!

The Tuner has to go in and adjust the Pulse Setting from 6 to 3..mine has the same problem at the moment.

really and it that will make the rpm read half?

Yup..the reason is the Tach thinks it's a 4 Cyl instead of a V8.
