+99 Plastic tank plastic line delete
Hi guys,
Need help/advice
I am wanting to get rid of the plastic flex lines that go between
Fuel pump and chassis hard line in the back
fuel rail and and chassis hard line in the front
with some s.s. braided flex lines but still keep the gm quick disconnect.
In the back by the fuel pump I think these may work
Fitting -6 AN Male to 5/16" Push-on EFI Russ#640930
Fitting -6 AN Male to 3/8" Push-on EFI Russ#640940
The concern here is would these Aluminium fittings seal well and be safe over time because of the hard lines coming the the pump are made of plastic ?? I see that some of the sponsers here carry the same is steel.
Up front , should I keep the factory flex line with that port with green cap on it or is it ok to get rid of it. what is that port used for and what is it called ?
In the front I think I will be ok with the supply line. Again the return line is plastic hard line.
Does any of the sponsers make a kit ?
Thanks

The other line with a green cap is for your EVAP and you can go anyway you want on that. It is part of the Smog system to purge the Fuel Vapor from the Fuel Tank, some have modifed that routing of the lines and stuff to clean up the engine bay. But for a street car and Smog reason, it is recommended you keep it.
There are many way to use the QD's, SS Braide line and AN fittings and hoses. As long as it is correctly setup and used the correct rated equipement, your pertty much open to any setup. You can also use compression to AN adapter for the Hardlines.
Being AN fitting and hose are pertty much Roll your own or DIY.. not many markets any kits. I have seen some stuff in S&P's web site. Try them.
