help with tach
help with tach hey guys i just tried to hook up my new auto gauge 233903 tach and its not working right. My harness has a white wire that was marked tach so thats what i hooked up to with the green on the tach .
It says its idle is 500 and it wont rev past 2000-2500, sounds more like 5000 though. the tach says not to cut the orange or brown on the back for 8 cyl. Not sure what gives here and could use some help.

Set the tach for "4 cyl" mode and you should be fine. That's what the PCM puts out stock.
