2 different cams??

got my hands on a lt4 hot cam #part number 24502586. will this cam work for a 2005 5.3l? i like the specs an sound of the cam.. an this is a project vehicle... thanks in advance guys..

Don't believe many parts from a LT platform will work in a LSX platform... lol

Understand that. But going from Lt4 to LSX is different generations of engines. What is it going in to? If its not to heavy I say go with a 2003 LS6 or LS7 cam. I've seen them used and in good shape for cheap. LS6 cam swap is good for around a 50 hp jump from stock cam.

cam selection

i saw an article where the a 5.3 recieved 80+ hp from a cam swap alone. with the addition of cnc ported cylinder heads and tuning the 5.3 had a jump of 120hp from stock. sorry i cant find the article. when i find ill pm you.
