Or drill out and tap the factory sensor location in the head for that 3/8" fitting.

Thread the second ridge of the sensor below the existing threads for 1/8" NPT. I've got the same sensor, that's what I did.

BTW, if you have to taper it, chuck it in a drill and run it against a file for a few second. Brass is really soft, so it's east to to do.
