Default How can I make this temp switch work on a 6.0?

I have a s 6.0 with L92 heads that i am going to run a carb on. I need this temp sensor to fit the head. How can I do this?

Or drill out and tap the factory sensor location in the head for that 3/8" fitting.

Buy an adapter to 1/8 NPT.

Thread the second ridge of the sensor below the existing threads for 1/8" NPT. I've got the same sensor, that's what I did.

So that worked out for you? Was the second ridge of the sensor the right size for making the 1/8" threads?

It's almost perfect. I had to taper it a little to get it started, but that may be because I was using a cheap tap set.
BTW, if you have to taper it, chuck it in a drill and run it against a file for a few second. Brass is really soft, so it's east to to do.

Painless makes a switch that threads right into the stock head. At one point they had it available separately. Now they only sell it with a full relay-fan wiring kit.
