Bolting 4l60E to 5.3 Problem
Bolting 4l60E to 5.3 Problem Ok, I'm having a hard time bolting the 4l60E to my 5.3. I lined them up on the alignment dowels, and hand tightened the bolts holding the torque converter to the flex plate, I then used the housing bolts to slowly draw the transmission in. I kept turning the assembly by the crank to make sure nothing was binding, but it hits a point where it binds, before the transmission is fully seated. , I went to turn the assembly to torque the torque converter bolts but can't turn it for the life of me.
I realize this is a newb question, but this is one thing I haven't done before, help is appreciated.
