Which MAF's are 5 wire w/built in IAT?
My engine didn't come with a MAF, so I'm looking at buying one. While searching I came across 5 wire vs 3 wire. 5 wire seems the way to go.
What vehicles should I be looking in for the 5 wire MAF? Is it true that these have a built in IAT?
Are the 5 wire MAF's 3.5" or 4"?
Are all of them the same? Truck, car etc?
If it matters, I need one for a '98 LS1.
For the "SEARCH" guys: I tried searching but the search feature on any VBulletin forum is very rudimentary and doesn't necessarily return relevant results.

Does your wire harness support the three wire or the five wire? My harness came from a '02 silverado and it has a five wire hook up,as for the size I am in the dark also. The five wire has a built in IAT.
My TB is 4"

My wire harness is for the 3 wire MAF. But I can make or purchase a harness to include the IAT wires into it which makes it the 5 wire unit. I like the idea of the all-in-one MAF unit to simplify my intake routing.

Do you know if that part number will work fine on a mostly stock '98 LS1? I assume so, but I'm pretty new to these LS engines so just want to make sure.
I have to buy one regardless, so would be nice if I could use the one with a built in IAT.
