Corvette power steering pump -an fitting?
ok i got a 16mm x 1.5 o ring fitting from a friend to try see if it fit my pump and it does but the only problem is its so close to the pulley on the pump you cant thread a -6 fitting on the pump without hitting the pulley on the pump. is there any other option?
ill post a picture later of the pump.

I went to the junk yard and took some original power steering hoses off a few ls or vortec motors , cut the ends off and used which one fit best . it is tight there . I also used an original fitting off my original box and had a shop nearby make up a hose with the correct ends. JOHN
Look at this post from http://www.pro-touring.com/general/m...747-page3.html post 47. I also plan on using this fitting from Detroit Speed #090401 $18, it is shorter than the the russel brand one. Next post will have another pic (having trouble uploading them to this post).

Would this work? I think it would give me even more clearance and I wouldn't have to remove the original outlet

I got the DSE fitting, although it was better, you can't press the pulley all the way on. It likes .180" to be fully pressed on. I turned me a washer at work that is .1795" and am going to bolt it on the front to insure it doesn't come off and mess up a lot of crap. Between me and another forum member we bought several different pumps and pullies trying to fix this. We both were running procharger LSX transplant setups. Procharger didn't have a solution because the setup was never put in a car they said.

Yeah, the washer goes on the front and bolt goes in the front of the shaft. No banjo fitting. It's the DSE that's pictured above. I'll try to find the pics showing the fitting in and hose fitting on it.
