LS1 conversion

i just bought a 1968 firebird and it has a 455 and an automatic and i want to drop in a LS1 and a tremec 5 speed in it. anyone done this and have any input or insight on the process?

I would use the T56..you will kill the T5.

There are plenty of early first-gen F-body swaps on here..look around and those guys will help you.
