I thought I read that the Vortec a/c compressor is the same size and shape as the LS1 compressor except it is not variable displacement. Did I imagine that or is that accurate? Second, if true, are the 2 ports on the back of the Vortec compressor the same size and clocked like the LS1 comp is?

Even though some have run the LS1 compressor with the VA systems and seemingly w/o issues it would be nice to have an alternative if there are problems with it. Thanks. -Bob
