I'm borderline retarded and didn't hook up the IAC internally. 8 solders later it works. FTW

DIY megasquirt harness is almost there, need to solder some more grounds and map everything out, using an old dell computer for 12v, working pretty well. The IAC moves fine now but I can't get it to go into test mode, I'm not sure why. Any way to jog the IAC motor manually without entering a test mode? or just remap it to temp to change the motor position? Using the stock truck stepper iac if it matters.

Actually been super busy lately. Bunch of friends cars to finish, my motor mounts should FINALLY be here tomorrow (damn US customs). Th400 sometime the next week or so, and we can roll with this!

So I have been collecting parts to do this to my Audi A6 but it is looking like you beat me too it. I picked up a spare Cradle yesterday and now I come across this thread lol

What are you doing for a rear trans mount as the Audi's do not have one in the back?

Just making one. Theres enough places to mount things, theres a place to mount the drivetrain stabilizer thats available which looks pretty much identical to a transmission crossmember. You know the cradle isn't necessary? lol. The motor mounts are through bolted to the subframe, pretty elegant design. As for the rearend, thats gonna take some doing! Shouldn't be too much of a problem, but it'll be interesting to say the least. The car is MADE for a rear sump pan, and makes life so easy. The amount of room for headers is retarded, no steering rack, its awesome. Picking up the motor mounts today. We may or may not have an engine sitting in the bay later today

Default Awesome Build

I like the way the Audi front end disassembles creating a nice big hole to stuff V8 power into.

Nice project. At least the Audi is a nice comfortable ride!

The custom rear end piece will be something to see. Also, can you just pull the front axles or will you have to swap in 2 wheel drive hubs in the front?

Car is awd, as far as I know the fwd hubs are the same. I'll see if I need to make some dust shields or something. I think it'll be fine.

My plasma cutter and the motor mounts came in. Need to patch up my air compressor so I can get them workin. Going to weld up the motor mounts tomorrow, hopefully get them slapped in the car. Still a ways off from being ready, but closer. Ordered the moroso pan and pickup (trap door and all that fun stuff), should be here soon. The transmission should be here next week with any luck. Bends for the turbo manifolds are on the way too. Will have more pics tomorrow

I've seen your thread, I chat with storx a bunch. I still don't trust the 01E to hold that much power (and I want a transbrake). I know the european cars with lots of power are fine, but the torque worries me. Should be awesome when its done though!

Just tacked together. Need to cut the tacks on the flange, finish weld the primaries, then weld them to the flange. Should be fun. Not bad for my first time I guess? It's 1.5" sch40 (not sure they they call it 1.5", ID is a good bit larger....)

You can see the lovely precision 3000 stall sitting there =)
