Anyone know what other instrument clusters are interchangeable with an 02 or I guess 99-02 F body cluster? I'm guessing that the plug and pinout are probably the same for most same year cars or at least thats what I am hoping. Everything is pinned/wired for a 02 Fbody cluster but the cluster is HUGE and if I can avoid cutting the heck out of my inner dash etc. I would love to run something smaller. I know the GTO cluster is much smaller and fits perfect but I believe it has a different pinout and/or reads differently.

Any help, suggestions or direction you may be able to give would be huge! Not too worried about tach signal and speedo calibration since that can be tweaked....

i think the firebird cluster is a little different looking and the plugsis the same idk about clusters from other cars

 

Thank you. Looking for a smaller cluster that will have smae plug or at least be able to use the same signals as what is in the Fbody cluster pigtail. I dont mind having to re-pin it just need to be sure I can make it read accurately for my application. I'm thinking the LS1 GTO cluster would be perfect. I assume it has the same wires just in different locations perhaps. The cluster itself would be ideal as far as size.

Anyone have the cluster plug pinout/diagram for both an 02 fbody and an LS1 GTO by chance? I think from there I can go forward and see whether I can make it work.
