I've had a lot of success with the Mallory 110s, plenty of volume, no regulator/return needed.

I had a mallory comp 140 on my 6.0 originally. The georotor sucked up some debris from the tank and was badly scored. I ended up replacing the $250 mallory with an $85 summit rotory vane pump.

The georotor pumps are suppose to be quieter (although mine wasn't), but they don't handle junk as well as the rotory vane.

If you look real close at the pictures of fuel pumps you will see the Holley blue looks exactly like the summit pump. In fact, it looks just like the some of the models from trick fuel and edlebrock. I think these guys all pick up their pumps from the same chinese boat then slap different labels and price tags on them.

I would think anything around 100 GPH should work provided you have good fuel lines and low restriction fittings.

I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about carter pumps, but they are only 100gph. Do you think I would actually need that additional 10gph from the holley (or equivalent)? Also, has anyone used the edelbrock 1791? It's 120gph with a max pressure of 6.5psi
