Default Lq4 into 98 z28

I'm sure there are many threads on this same subject but I haven't been able to find them.I was trying my best not to make a thread about this. I've been trying to find out what would be required to swap an lq4/9 into a 98 camaro. I know the electrical in a 98 is supposed to be different from all other years so I was wondering what kind of problems that would create, and I wasn't sure if the engine would bolt right up either. I know the f-body oil pan would have to be used and the ls1 intake, but what other parts would have to be transferred from the ls1 to the 6.0?

If you can link me to a thread that answers these questions I'd appreciate it. If I need to post in a different section just let me know.

Just switch all your sensors (oil pressure, crank, cam, water temp) over to the LQ4. Your gonna have to drill and tap a hole for the alt bracket....... should be pretty fast/easy to do. Good luck-

^^^That.

The only thing to look out for if it's an earlier LQ4..the Crank may be the longer version. If it's not just remove the Spacer if if has it. If it is, then you won't be able to use that Crank unless you install a 4L80E.

Also some of the earlier Block had a Casting Lug in the way that won't allow you to use a Car Starter.
