5.3 Truck TAC Module Compatability I know there is not very much info on the web about what TAC/TB/Pedals are compatable other than 'use from donor vehicle'. So I will share my experience and what worked for me.
My engine, PCM, TB, etc are from an 06 Tahoe, the donor vehicle TAC was destroyed in the wreck. From looking in the junk yard, it appears there are 2 pedal types, old style w/ big plug and metal pedal and the new style with plastic pedal and small plug. It looked like the 06 and up had the plastic pedal. The junk yard didn't have any other 06+ TAC, so I used one off an 04 that had the old style pedal. The TACs themselves appear identical and have the same plugs. Well it turns out they are the same and are interchangable!
What worked to me: 06 TB, 06 plasic pedal, 06 pedal to TAC module harness, 04 TAC.

03-06 TAC module works with 03-06 truck TB and 03-05 PCM (BLUE/GREEN connectors)
01-02 TAC module works with 01-02 truck TB, 97-04 Vette TB, and 01-02 PCM (BLUE/RED connectors).
03-06 TAC modules have an aluminum mounting base, 01-02 TAC modules are all black plastic including the mounting base.
Pretty sure the 2007 GMT800 carry over trucks have the same TAC etc as the ealier ones. THe GMT900 trucks don;t have a TAC.
