Cruise Control on 2002 6.0L

Cruise Control on 2002 6.0L I have a cable driven 6.0L/4L80-E setup that I’m putting into my 1993 c3500 truck. The truck had a TBI 454/700r4. The cruise control unit that is still on the truck worked perfectly.
My first thought was to leave that unit on the truck and hook the 1993 cruise cable up to the 2002 6.0 throttle body. Would this work if I hook up pin 13 (blue/black wire) of the red PCM connector to the VSS input on the 1993 cruise unit?
OR
Second thought... I have the cruise box from the 6.0L and the harness for it. The connectors are the same from 1993 and from the 2002 but the 1993 uses many more wires. Anyways... if i went this route, will my 1993 turn signal/cruise control switch work with the 2002 box?

I know your cruise switch will work with the newer unit
I would try to work with what you have..... I believe that the 93+ cruise units use a 4k ppm speedo input.
