Colorado LS1?
i know the newer colorado's come with the 5.3 L engine.
but i have a friend with a older colorado with the inline 5 block in it
he might sell it to me,
My question is to who know about this
would it be better for me just to find a colorado with the 5.3 L block and switch it out to a ls1? would this be a easy swap? how much modifications to the harness?
Or should i just get my friends inline 5 colorado and start working from there?
Thanks for the time guys,
Ws6kid.

But with the availability of the 5.3L in them you could swap the 5cly for one. Because the engine mounts oil pan and etc will be off the self GM stuff.
I think it would cost more as you would need the mounts harness and a transmission.
YUnless you get the 5cly for cheap I would just buy a 5.3L one. And just keep the 5.3L and drive it, do tune and bolt ons then swap to a 6.0L later!!!

I plan to do the swap in my single cab 06 late next year. It really depends on the price you get the truck at. All in all it would be cheaper to do the swap but you will have alot of time inversted in it. Check out 355nation.net they have almost everything information wise you need to do the swap.
My builds going to consist of a turboed 6.0, 4l80e...ect
