70 Chevelle SW headers After dealing with Hooker and their inferior product I bought 1 7/8 stainless headers from Stainless Works. I had the Hooker ceramic coated headers and they rusted in 1 week and had multiple exhaust leaks. They sent me a new pair but when I opened the box there were 2 sets of driver side and no passenger side headers and the 02 bungs weren't even drilled. That was it.
I ordered the SWs from byunspeed.com and everything was legit. Headers showed up in a few days. The SWs fit better and seat better on the heads. I'm very pleased.

That's exactly what I was thinking. You can't beat ceramic. I'm gonna wait until the look doesn't suite me and then I'll jethot them. At that point you will have the best headers money can buy. I can already tell a temp difference, albeit small and worth it.

I used the Hooker mounts which work fine. I did have to grind them a little because I am using polyurethane mounts and they need a little more space. I have manual steering and the stock LS1 lower alternator clears by about 1/2 in. I've put some miles on the SW headers and they look great. I'm very pleased and the guys a Byunspeed were great.
