did caddy use LS motors? i was in the local junkyard over the weekend and came across a cadillac that has a v-8 motor with an intake that looked just like an LS series motor. did caddy ever use any LS motors? i guess i should narrow that down, it was not a CTS-V or an STS-V. i believe it was a mid 90s 4 door?
To the best of my knowledge, the CTS-V was the only Cadillac to come equipped with a LSx. In it's first two years of production, 2004-2005, it came with a LS6. In 06-07 the LS6 was replaced by a LS2. No 2008 model, but in 2009 the redesigned 2nd-Generation CTS-V received a LSA.
Other than that, I think the V8 Cadillacs of recent years were otherwise NorthStar motors.

Easiest way to spot a Northstar is the plug location. N* had them hemi style in the middle of the valve cover between the cams. LS engines are in the standard V8 location under the manifolds
