Default msd 6010 box question

If I run one of these boxes in a 98 f body what wiring can I get rid of, obviously the engine harness? What about the wiring that runs up the pass wheelwell that hooks to the engine harness? Is there any way of running factory gauges or do I have to run aftermarket gauges and just better off rewiring the whole car

You won't be getting rid of any wiring, in fact, you're adding to it. On a factory FI system, it's an add-on. The MSD is just another way to to tune (and only the ignition), plus the addition of a 2-step rev limiter and retard...

If going to carb you could get rid of just about everything... You would need to keep wiring for fuel pump, and your stuff inside the car and everything else that will need power. And wiring for your guages.

as long as there wired in directly they should.. The tach will wire into the MSD box, and the rest of your stuff in its respective place. Im going with all new gauges in my setup custom where the old ones are, im taking that out, making my own plate out of brushed stainless and bolting it in place of my stock.
