Default Best longtube for 1st gen lsx

I'm working on a 69 Camaro and the car has the S&P engine mounts, but the pi$$-poor S&P shorties. I was wondering if anybody has a longtube better than the HOOKER LT, for the conversion....for the price of course. I used Hooker Lt on a 67 RS but with slightly differnt mounts- set the motor a little further back than the SP mounts. Gotta Jet hot coat them as well. There don't seem to be a lot of S&P mount cars with Hooker Lts. I'll post some pics of the car...I just did a heads and cam (LS1 Hot cam and ported LS2 heads)- he wanted to keep it conservative and all GM. I did the smooth firewall , painted his inner fenders, hooked up his cable X box, and cleaned up his wiring. Back to the headers any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thumbs up

Stainless works headers fit well with the S&P mounts. They have excellent ground clearance as well. http://www.stainlessworks.net/cart/i...76_237_250_251 BTW, I can recommend a dealer that will give you a better deal than directly from SW. PM if interested.

I just ordered a set of Kooks. I did have Hooker Super Comps in the car but want stainless headers, not to mention that Kooks are 1 7/8 primaries
