1986 SS Monte LS1 Swap Hey Guys,
I've been on here reading and reading and I believe that I'm ready to do my swap now. I bought a 2000 LS1 from a F body car. I have made a list of most everything that I believe I'll need? I'd like to start ordering parts next week, but would also like to find some other sources that everyone else may have been using to compare against? I've looked at S&P and BRP and would like to know of any other reputable sources out there to look at also.
Any direction or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have John B mounts and oil pan on my g body and they worked perfect. If you have not read his conversion search for it in the conversion website here. Lots of great info about his monte ss
Re: John Bzdel.. You can Google his name and his page comes up near or at the top..
He had one set of mounts left that I bought... He was out of the country at the time and had a family member send.
Not sure if hes making them any more..
I used the CTS-V pan with his mounts.. Worked great BTW..
However, Retro makes a pan that has a little better clearance regarding how far it hangs below the engine saddle.. Also has mounts as well..
Pretty sure another, as mentioned in the G-body thread, like the trans dapt engine mounts puts the engine in about the same place.. I think a liittle more back though and might require some air box work..

I just ordered a pan and motor mounts from S&P. I'm searching and piecing my other parts with different vendors. S&P seems to be a bit pricey for some of there parts. Though it's taken me awhile to search out other vendors, I have found some awsome prices. It will help with the sting (cost) of this swap.
