Fuel pump question
Fuel pump question I just finished up my 6.0 in my 1994 z28, which is carbed, i am using to factory pump with a bypass regulater. My question is how do you get the factory pump to work on the key again without running a extra switch? any input is greatly appericated
Locate the wiring for the pump relay in the fuseblock
dk grn/wht is 12v from the PCM to enable the pump. Change this to 12v IGN from your key. Now the pump will run constantly with the key on. It wont prime like is would with the PCM, only constantly run
Speaking from the 3rd gen crowd where carb swaps are very common, the high pressure EFI fuel pump will not like being forced to a low carb pressure and will burn up in a short time. You can swap the pump for a TBI truck or car pump to solve the lower pressure issue since TBI cars operate at 14psi rather than the LSx 62psi
