I have a 69 nova with a 04 gto ls1. The alternator hits the frame alot. Is the f-body alternator smaller because I haven't heard many issues with fitment. The mounts are like the transdapt/moroso ones. Is there an alernate year that may fit. I really don't want to notch the frame..

Yes the GTO alternator is deeper front to rear by 1/2" or so.

 

Try to mve the engine forward by redrilling new mount holeson the frame, will be cheaper that buying a new alt.
