Might have a chance to pick up a wrecked G8 GXP for a good price. Car was rear ended then side swiped. Has an auto and only has 20K on it. Wont be using the tranny as i want a 6 speed manual.
Being a newbie, just wondering about using this for a swap in my 65 LeMans. Basically wondering about the harnesses and such. Did a search and didnt find anything about using the G8. Any advice on using this platform?

 

Is it a GT or a GXP? The GT uses the L76 engine and 6 speed auto. The GXP is the LS3 and a 6 speed manual.

 

Actually the GXP was available with a 6L80E. I read a while ago that about 50% of GXPs were automatics.
