Passenger side alternator installation. We needed a relatively decent output alternator (110 amps), but in a smaller case. We wanted to stay with a GM alternator, as they are readily available. The best solution we found was a CS130 alternator. The CS130 alternator is mounted very low, you can just see it above the A-arm bushing. This alternator fits a P35 Van, with a 454 engine. I'm always surprised how long it takes to just do a simple thing like getting the alternator mounted.
New alternator brackets to mount CS130 alternator on lower passenger side of motor. Very tight fit. Just enough room to adjust for belt tension on a 4 groove serpentine belt.

can we see the rest of the setup and how you routed the main serpentine belt?
too bad you can't use the oem AC idler and tensioner.. I have not see that done before..nice..!

Here is an earlier photo of how the main belt routing is. We now have the correct belt length on it.
We tried to utilize the compressor mount/tensioner, but there was no room for it with the alternator. The compressor bracket must be 3/4" to 1" thick.
