turbo mount to cage in malibu?
im thinking about welding a plate to the cage bars to mount to, but im not sure on the rules. i know i cant drill holes in the cage but other than that i dont know much.
anyone got any suggestions and or pics of what they have done?
see if i can find a pic of my engine bay to show cage.
If the turbo is that heavy, make a bracket to bolt it to the engine.
duh! thats kinda obvious.
im trying to decide if i want to run solid mounts or not. i did that in my 70 camaro with i blown big block and didnt really like it.
im more interested in pictures of how people have set up theres and rules of attaching things to the cage.
so ROTOR, how did you set up yours? did you mount it to a bracket on the engine or a bracket on the cage? do you have any pictures to share of how you set yours up?
i wouldnt crack a manifold, im making my own headers.
If a turbo is hanging off of it, it's still called a manifold, just a tubular manifold. I've gotten my *** chewed about that terminology myself.
Of the turbo engines I've have/had the manifold supported the turbo.
