wire harness
How hard will it be to make my own harness? 88 fox 01 LS1 carbed drag only (1 tail light etc.) Extras like line lock electric water pump. Who has done this already? Did you use the stock fuse panel and just strip everything out?

A carb swap means cutting wires, nothing more
Use the small harness in the coil driver kit and nothing more. Cut the mustang harness down to basic engine and gauge functions
Find a pinout of all the body connectors for the mustang harness. ID all the gauge, power, and interior fuse pins then pull each out of the harness individually. Once those are separate you have successfully separated the carb harness from the EFI harness. Everything you need for the swap should be there

I actually just got threw doing exactly this. I only wanted the basics to work in my 93 coupe, so I stripped all the excess wiring and kept what I needed. Here are some pics I have of mine.
Here is a wiring diagram I drew out for everything firewall forward.
Here is all the wires that go out to the engine bay:
Here are the wires that go to the back of the car for fuel gauge, lights and what not:
I don't have a clear pic of behind the dash, but I've still got to add a fuse block bc I've cut it down to about 5-7 circuits.

thanks for the diagram . I'm not running wipers, headlights, turn sig. just need to power my ignition, nitrous, one brakelight, waterpump, fuelpump, transbrake etc. No power windows or anything like that. About the only thing i need from the stock harness is the starter circut fuel pump(and prob. have to upgrade that)and ignition. Prob. forgeting a lot of stuff. but hardly anything from the stock harness.
