Default Which Wiring Harness and PCM to use?

I posted this in the PCM section but figure I may get a lot more specific traffic here. Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I am racking my brain a little on what direction to go with this.

I have a 2008 LY6 block...I am using none of the VVT stuff, only the block and rotating assembly. I plan on switching over the front to all LS2 stuff - timing cover, cam sensor, etc...and with the L92 heads I might use the L76 intake but more than likely a carb style intake with a 90-deg because the throttle body ends up in a much better place for plumming. This is going to be a turbo build, btw, and I am matching it up with a 4L60e transmission and speed density tuning.

That all being said, can I use the harness from a '05/'06 GTO and reprogram for the 4L60E instead of the 65E?

What about if I wanted to use a cable driven throttle body? Could I use an Fbody PCM and would I need to change up the timing cover/cam sensor or could that be made to work with the earlier set up?

Thanks in advance guys...as you can tell I am WAY over thinking it...

I didn't know they had LY6s in 2005. Are you sure about the year?

Sorry about that...that was a typo...going too quickly. It is a 2008 with 11000 miles.

Default Harness

I went with a custom harness. I did everything you talked about doing except went with a 4l80e. Harness ran me 575 all ls3 injectors are the same connection wise? So no mod there. They did have to modify for ls2 timing cover and vvt delete. I also ran a tcu for better tunibilty of the trans. Hope this helps. I used a corvette ls3 intake instead of l92 intake.

When you say "they" who do you mean? Who did a harness for you? I am definitely considering the 4L80e for overall strength. I am just not sure how to set this darn thing up.

Thanks,
Dave

PM Pocket, tell him I sent you. He can make any kind of harness you want for any year, TB, transmission, etc.
