'99 pinouts the same as '00

Default '99 pinouts the same as '00
I was trying to access the pinouts for the '99 and '00 pcms on ls1.com, but the page seems to be down. Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the two? I'm trying to see if I can use a 2000 wiring harness with a '99 pcm. Thanks.

Yes, '99 and '00 have the same pinouts on the PCM.

I printed out that pin-out document a couple of weeks ago. I can probably scan it and send it to anyone if they want it.

Cool. I have the pinouts for the '99, I was just going to compare the two. Since, they're the same, I can just use what I already have. Thanks.

Are the '01s the same as the '00s? I still need a harness and I found a decent '01.

No they are not the same. For one thing 2000 and below has EGR, so 4 of the pins that are not used in 2001 are EGR pins on 2000. But then there are a few areas that 2001 list as low reference, and on 2000 they are listed as:
fuel tank pressure/sender ground, TP sensor ground, ECT sensor ground, and IAT sensor ground. So there are a few differences.

Is the low reference supposed to just be a ground? I thought that the puropse of low ref is just to give some scale to the "signal" and give it something to compare to. Would a ground not work for this? (Just thinking out loud here.... I'm not sure how the logic works inside this computer.)

Most of us (well, I'm going to at least) get rid of EGR, so that's not an issue, right? Any other difference that you can see?

It looks like the 98 is the only different harness from an f-body. 99-00 have the egr hook ups, but everything else will work, as far as low reference and grounds, they are the same and they will hook up properly.
