ls6 in thirdgen
ls6 in thirdgen sup guys. im planning on doing a engine swap in my 89 ta. I found an ls6 shortblock with gtp stage 2 heads and cam out of a 01 z06 
for a banging price. The only downfall is that it doesnt' come with the ecu and harness. I was wondering if i can use an ecm and harness from any 98-02 fbody and 97-03 c5 or i have to get use the ecm and harness from a z06. thanks

I was wondering if i can use an ecm and harness from any 98-02 fbody and 97-03 c5 or i have to get use the ecm and harness from a z06. thanks(i.e. 99-00 are for sure the same, looked it up today.) The main difference will be in the PCM progamming which with heads and cam should be custom tuned anyway especially with a swap like this. Just watch out for differences with stuff like C5's having Throttle Actuated Control module instead of a throttle cable and seperate sensors for TPS and IAC. It just requires a little more effort to make work.
