LS1 Jeep TJ headers
LS1 Jeep TJ headers Does anyone make swap headers for these? I looked but have not had any luck other than some 1 1/2 block huggers that might or might not work. If anyone knows of a company I'd appreciate the info.
From all the research i've done on my swap I found to just use stock camaro or firebird manifolds. The shorty headers are not worth the money for the gains you get.. 5-10hp over stock, and long tubes are tough to make fit, and they take away from your torque, which most want in their jeeps.. just my 2 cents

Here's my .03 worth. I've done three LS swaps into TJ's. First used the Hooker swap type 1.625 inch. OK fitment but sweep slighty towards the back of the engine. Next swap was Speedway 1.625" block hugger. Better due to the center dump on the collector. Next swap was using the Sanderson 1.75". Again swept towards the back of the engine BBBBuuuttt has 1.75" tubes. If making more than stock power 1.75" is better than 1.625".
See attached pic of the left exhaust tube sweeps around and in front of the oil pan. 2.5" in all swaps.
Hind sight is 20/20. I'd do my best to use the Sanderson header due to the 1.75" tube. If running cats use the high flow 2.5" style in each side and merge into a Flow master 3" merge all the way to the tail pipe. I'm running a 3" Dyna tech high flow cat into the biggest 50 series 3" Flow master muffler into a 3" mandrel bend tailpipe.
My 98 Wrangler is a LS6 based engine. Needs to breathe. Almost kept up with a 2010 SS Camaro from a stop light. He got the jump. I kept up about one car lenght behind up to 60-70 mph. Had to slow down due to my wife asking me if I'm CRAZY!
