I have a lq4 or lq9 iron block complete. I wanted to put it in a 72SS chevelle with a 480le auto tranny. Any advive? I would like paddle shifter but that looks really expensive.

O yea and I want to do a few mods to motor cam,heads,headers. I seen on a Hot Rod build up for this engine. Prob get it to around 500-550hp

Whats you budget for the head's, cam, exhaust ect ? 500-550 crank HP or rear wheel HP ? Also what engine do you have ? The lq9 has flat top pistons with a higher compression ratio VS the lq4 with dished pistons.
