SSflyer, I made my own mounts for the swap. I am using a Autometer speedo in my car so it is just a one wire job. I had a LT1 in the car before so I already had the speedo.

That is so nice! I had to make my mounts too.

I know you've had lots of questions, but I am wondering about the Alternator setup. Is that a custom bracket? I sure could use a setup like that on mine.

DaleMX, I had to move the Alternator up there, it was in the way in the stock place. I made the mounts for the Alternator also. What kind of project is that in the pic.?

Thats a Classic Roadsters Sebring MX. It's getting an LS1/T56 from a 99 firebird. The rear is a 8.8 ford traction lock with 3.73 gears. It looks like there's lot's of room from the picture, but it's much tighter than anticapated. Nothing fits. I moved my alternator to the top drivers side only to find it will touch the wheelwell so I'm going to fabricate another bracket and try to move it up some. The steering column is out of a mustang II as are numerous other parts. Brakes are Wilwood in the front and ford disks in the rear. Steering rack is from Flaming River, and the raidiator is a custom from Griffin. I've had to make my own motor mounts, and trans mounts along with the brackets for the accessories (which I'm doing again). They say 1 year from start to finish. Ha, I'll have 2 into it come this summer.

Hey that Z looks great, I got my air stuff from those guys too. Cheap and really good quality.

Default 280ZX conversion

I have a 1980 280zx that I am going to put in a LT-1 or LS-1, 6 speed. Will be slightly modified but stay daily driver friendly. I plan on adding some weight to the rear area to help with the traction problem

Did you make the mount for the idler pulley on the opposite side of the alt?

Yes I just moved it on the drivers side.
I am going to have the car dyno tuned late this week or next week.
99 LS1/4l60e C2 cam ,LS6 intake, 3200TC 13/4 headers
My LT1 made 320RWHP I hope I can make more than that.
