Default L92 wiring a generic O2 sensor

Bosch (15730)______________ OEM wiring for other cars

Black ----------------------- Blue (sensor output)
White------------------------Black (heater circuit)
White ------------------------Black (heater circuit)
Gray-------------------------White (sensor ground)

This is the diagram given on the Bosch.

Unfortunately the L92/Ls3 wiring diagram has

Sensor HI (L92 Purple)
Sensor Low (L92 tan)
Heater power (L92 Pink)
Ground to ECM (L92 Gray)

Ideas on what to what?

Default generic O2 sensors

Iirc, the colours go:

purple to black - signal
grey to grey - O2 ground

pink to white - heater 12v+
tan to white - heater ground

That should work for you.

If Bosch has two ...black... wires for the sensor then it doesnt matter which way around the polarity is. A heater doesnt usually care what side is +ve and what side is -ve. Unless one side is grounded to the sensor case.

12V normally goes to one side of the heater and the other side goes to the ECM which controls the current to ensure the heater ramps up as fast as possible.

For Clarification, so sensor "low" on the GM wiring diagrams is Sensor Ground?

GM:::::::::::::::::::::::: Bosch 15730
Sensor HI (L92 Purple): Black - sensor output
Sensor Low (L92 tan): Gray - sensor ground
Heater power (L92 Pink): White - heater
Ground to ECM (L92 Gray): White -heater
