6.0 to 4spd questions

6.0 to 4spd questions ive got a exmilitary 87 3/4 ton suburban and the 350 in it is on its last leg. planing on a carbed 6.0 with possibly a turbo in the spring.
been trying to find some info, but cant. its got the 4spd muncie (SM-465) wondering if theres any adaper plate i need or will it bolt up?
any and all info/links ect will be very helpful.

Just did it, and carb'ed too. You don't need any expensive adapters, special flywheels, nothing but off-the-shelf stuff.

1) flywheel (99-06 4.8L/6.0L manual trans, p/n NFW1050) $60
2) LS2 pilot bearing (p/n 12557583) $18
3) LS2 flywheel bolts (p/n 12553332) $45
4) 12" clutch kit (or whatever fits your SM465 - 11"?) $120
5) pressure plate bolts
I'm not sure about your bellhousing, whether you need the bbc version or not, I'm using a truck NP833 and it fits fine. Just a note, I bought the standard pressure plate bolts and they weren't long enough for my comfort, these flywheels are really thick so I got longer grade 9 bolts from McMaster-Carr. Everything fits like a glove.
