Thinking about doing a ski boat.

Thinking about doing a ski boat. I have a blown up ls1 sitting around. I kind of want to rebuild it (it has a spun rod bearing). I have pretty much everything to complete the engine. Bottom end, heads, intake, valvetrain, etc.
I was thinking about throwing this into a boat. I don't know too much about boats, what all do i need to look for and what exactly will I need to get.
I realize there are two types of drives, inboard and outboard. I am assuming inboard is the way to go for a boat.
What all is involved in installing something like this into a boat. I realize i can probably use a car ecm/electronics for it, could easily do a tune for it.
My questions
What exactly is needed to mount the engine?
How do you attach the engine to the propeller? Any adapters out there?
What about exhaust manifolds? Are there premade ones or what can I use? Would I just be able to use a set of longtube headers? I noticed that boats seem to water cool their exhausts or something like that.
Any special waterproofing i need to do?

To put a LS1 into a boat, you need a special cam. Boats have a way different torque curve than cars do. I have put car engines in boats, but you waste so much in gas because car engines dump gas at a higher rate at high RPM's with respect to the HP output.
The LS1 would be interesting since there is a great deal less weight.
