Is BCM or Speed Input Required for LS1?

I have a problem with my LS1/Porsche 928

(see: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...onds-dies.html).

I have had the car running just fine since July without a BCM and without any speed information input, but now I am wondering if anyone else has an LS1 conversion running without a BCM and without any speed input.

My Nova swap has No BCM and im running a Turbo 350 with no VSS and all is good.

No BCM here, tossed it after I got everything running and sorted. Running fine.
