LS6 1991 Camaro speedometer hook up 
i have a 91 Camaro stock guages with an ls6 t56. I need to know if i can hook up the speedo wire from ecm directly to guage signal input or do i run it trough the stock vss buffer from the 91 camaro. Last edited by d2camaro; Nov 20, 2010 at 01:11 PM. Reason: more info
Hook it direct to C207 pin D (gry) if the car was originally a V6 or TPI

Hook it to C207 pin K (brn) and jumper pins C (brn) and F (brn) on the buffer box

Im not understanding this 207 is an output for the buffer and the ls ecm is an out put and the jumper? I have an ls6 with a t56 the ecm has an vss pluged in to the t56 and a output wire for the speedo so i need to know if i have to plug it into an in put of the buffer to read right or straight to the input of the speedo? I have been scrathing my head all day and dont want to f*&k somthing up by hooking it up wrong. Does any one know? 
C207 is the 3rd gen Fbody dash connector to the engine harness. Your INJ1/2/PCM fuses run through it along with a few others like MIL, P/neutral, CPP switch and speedo
Since you have a TBI car you have to get around the buffer box. TBI ECM's were too dumb to decode the VSS signal directly so the external buffer box did it for them. Your LS1 PCM is quite capable of doing this so you have to bypass the buffer so it doesnt mix the PCM output signal with the buffer adjusted signal garbling everything. Pin C goes strait to the gauge, F is where it ends from your LS1 PCM if the connected it to the proper C207 pin
The LS1 PCM speed signal is the same as your gauge. Be sure to set the conversion factor in the tune to your gearing and tire diameter

ok thats what i was thinking i just dident know the output of the pcm i have had the ecm already set up for tire size and gears i just wanted to know for sure if i had to go through or around the buffer. Thanks a bunch.
