Ls1/t56 To 61 Impala Bubble Top
Is there anyone else besides Street and Performance doing any parts and wiring harnesses for swaps into other vehicles? Also what modifications as far as cam swaps,etc.... are o.k. to do on the LS1 engines? I don't want to get real heavy into the engine but while it's out I have the chance to do whatever. I figured headers and a cam, but I saw something about an electric water pump and a modification on the oil pump???? I just want a streetable vehicle, road and interstate. After the build I plan to dyno tune the vehicle to finish dialing in the combo. Thanks for all input. Kevin

I would port the oil pump.

I would also change the valley cover and PVC system to the LS6 style to minimize oil consumption.

Change the cam (several good choices) and the springs/retains (CC918s & Ti retainers).
Get some headers with a good exhaust system.
