Trans compatibility questions...
Hey, guys. I have a few questions of my options as far as transmissions in a swap I'm doing.
I have a 2002 Mustang with a T-3650 5 speed trans. Now obviously that bellhousing won't match up to an LSX. And the bellhousing on a 3650 is part of the case, so I don't think there's a bellhousing I can get.
So I was wondering what my options were as far as trans/clutches. I want to keep it a manual, 5 or 6 speed, doesn't matter.
Can I keep the stock cable clutch setup with a t56 out of a Camaro/Firebird? Or do I need to swap to hydraulic?
Thanks in advance. Any help/advice is appreciated.
P.S.
Please don't recomend to use an auto. I know a built auto is better for drag racing, and while I will drag race this car, I'm going to be driving it as a weekend cruiser more than being on the strip. I'm willing to sacrifice consistency and a few tenths for a more fun driving experience while I'm running around town.

Hmm that sucks.
What's involved in converting to hydraulic? Obviously the clutch cylinders, pedal...
There's no other options. I could have sworn I read somewhere that someone managed to keep a cable clutch with an LS swap Mustang.

Or you could modify a turbo coupe pedal assembly and make your own hydraulic setup.
