Default DBW cruise control

I'm currently makin a wiring harness for an 05 5.3 LM7 with DBW. The motor is from a truck with an automatic. It's going in a car with a manual trans.
I know as well as the standard cruise control buttons, a switched brake signal to the TAC is required (closed with brake depressed).
On an auto car there is also the TCC release brake switch signal to the ECU (open when depressed). My car only has the closed when depressed brake switch.
I'm planning to use a relay wired to the brake switch to provide the open when depressed signal. Can I also wire a clutch switch to the same relay to disengage the CC when either clutch or brake is depressed?
Also, Is there any difference in using the TCC brake release on pin 33 on the ECU, vs enabling and using the CPP pin, #35, on the ECU?

I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work, but what are you putting it in? It's usually easier to get a brake light switch that has both contacts in it. As for enabling the clutch position wire, I don't believe it would work any differently than just wiring it the way you planned.

It's going in a 72 Olds 443. I looked up the part from a 05 truck but it didn't look like ir would be easily adaptable. Any pics of an aftermarket install?

Yes, that's the switch you need. They came in just about every GM car from the 80's to early 90's that had cruise control. Just go down to your local Pick-n-pull and get one and get the pigtail at the same time for a little bit of nothing. Pretty sure that the old u-wrench-it in StLouis is now a P-N-P.

Oh, and 443? That 3 is supposed to be a 2 right?

I just ordered one with some other parts, $15. Not worth a trip to PNP in freezing weather for that.
Well technically maybe I should rebadge it Fi42 since It will be injected, 4 speed, dual exhaust.

Just go to Autozone and get the brake switch for an 85-88 Monte Carlo SS with cruise. It will have the 4 terminals you need and most likely a lot cheaper than Painless. You won't have to use an relays, then. It will work the cruise and TCC.
