Default Y pipe for third gen LS1??

Anyone know where I could find a Y pipe for a ls1 with long tubes, that is for a third gen? 3" collectors. Or maybe know of one that will work with a few mods to it?

i don't think longtubes will fit on a third gen. hawksthirdgen makes headers for the swaps, they may have y-pipes too

Haha of course long tubes will work. Most of us are runnin em. Yes Hawks offers the y-pipe...but they recently re-worked it because it was junk before in my opinion. Not sure how how the newer design works. Most guys will make their own y-piping so its assured to fit...

Roach, youre on the wrong site. Head over to thirdgen.org for all your thirdgen swap questions. There is awesome general LS1 swap info here and there is some KEY reading. But all the specific stuff will be on TGO. Do a bunch of reading (exhaust has been covered tons) and if you have any other specific questions ask up.

4th gen long tubes flare out to hit the frame rails on a 3rd gen. Hawks sells specific LSx into a 3rd gen LTs that fit fine, they're just expensive

and there are other thirdgen long tubes that work as well with just a change of the flange.
