Question 05 LQ p/s??

Am plumbing the stock p/s pump to a Saginaw 500 box in my 55 Chevy.
The engine came out of an 05 H2, and has a p/s pump w/ 3 ports on it.
1 hi psi, and 2 others w/ slip on clamp type hose attachment.
1 low psi is at/near the bottom of the pump, at the rear. The other is on the side and is about 1/2 way down the can.

I tried a search, but came up MT..I have the pressure plumbed and the return I have going into the side port.
It appears that the oil is getting air trapped as it's "creamy looking".[New start up may be the cause]
The can appears to be getting pressurized, as when I remove the cap, I hear pressure escape.

I'm wondering if I have the return routed correctly?
Is the pump designed to run under some psi? [The pump on my 07 Silverado appears to be]. Both pumps have what looks like the same cap...

TIA for NE input.

that's right, Robby.
I'm going to try putting some time on the setup as it is now, and see if the pump gets noisy, or overheats...
The car is still on stands, and hasn't had a good chance to work the air out of the system...

Thanks for the response!
