Power steering questions
Hee there,
I was wondering, I will be using the orginal GM steering box on my '72 Camaro with the LS1 power steering pump.
I allways thought the GM steering on my '72 was just a bit to much, to light.
The LS1 has even more pressure, I would like to get it a bit tighter, but not as tight as manual offcourse.
Could I just bolt-on a bigger pully on the power steering pump and/or a reducer inside the pump? Or what could I do to get this effect?
Where to get the parts?
I hope you can help me out again.
Thanks
Peter

and yet something else,
John helped me out to sell his internal 00' LS1 pump to me, I was just wondering for the final setup. On the stock car they use some sort of y-block after this pump for the feed and return fitting and the pump has a internal pressure regulator, isn't it?
So I could use some sort of Y-block to isn't it? which one for AN lines? This way I don't need the hard to get fuel/regulator unit (I'am in the Netherlands) and I can just buy inline fuel filters for the AN lines with a few replacement filtes(easier to get)
I hope you can help me out on both questions.
Thanks again

Street and Performance has a kit that you can use to lower the pressure. I got one around here somewhere that I'm not using as I went with a power rack instead of the old gearbox. I think it's just a matter of installing some shims.

Thanks

Give me a couple days to find it. I'm pretty sure the kit was only $10-20. I am not going to use it. You pay shipping and it's yours. Get me an address and I'll see about shipping cost.
